TP-Link USB Wireless Adapter

Trackman Performance Studio (TPS) does not require an active internet connection to function, but we highly recommend staying connected to both the internet and your Trackman radar at the same time for the best experience.

To achieve this, you may need an additional USB wireless adapter on your computer.

Recommended:

We recommend using the TP-Link USB wireless adapter, which is our preferred solution for adding extra Wi-Fi connection. This adapter comes with an optional USB extension cable, which can help improve signal strength and placement flexibility.

  2. Windows will automatically install the drivers.

    • Type Device Manager and press Enter.
    • Under Network adapters, you should now see the TP-Link adapter listed.

Connection

Once installed, your computer will now show a new Wi-Fi connection — usually labeled “Wi-Fi 2”.

  1. In the System Tray (bottom-right corner of Windows), click the Wi-Fi icon.
  2. You’ll now see both:
    • Wi-Fi 1 → connect this to your regular internet connection.
    • Wi-Fi 2 → connect this to your Trackman radar.

This setup ensures a stable and simultaneous connection to both your radar and the internet.

Note: On the side of the TP-Link adapter, you might notice a small button labeled “WPS”.
You can ignore this button — it’s used for a different type of wireless setup and is not needed for Trackman radar connections.
