What Is A Fiber-Optic Cable?

Fiber-optic cables are used for high-speed transfer of data, commonly for telecommunications or high-speed internet. These cables are fragile because they can contain multiple optical fibers and they contain glass. Optical fibers are used to carry light which is why they are so fast at transferring data. This allows the video input from the IDS cameras to reach their high frame rate. The more frames per second the more data is being transferred. The more frames per second the more frames you can see in your swing videos. If you have further questions about the fiber-optic or why it is necessary for the IDS cameras to function optimally, please contact support.
