When setting up for manual putting you should avoid:

1. Short distance from tee area to screen, the chance of a successful tracking is significantly lower, the shorter the distance from tee to obstacle is
2. Hitting bumps and other balls/obstacles on the roll from tee to the screen
3. Uneven surfaces, if combining multiple turfs, make sure that they are level, as an uneven turf may affect roll
