PC Updating Ethernet Drivers

  1. You can use the ‘ncpa.cpl’ in the windows search to pull up this window (see below) or follow steps 2 – 4 to get to this window

  2. Go to the control panel and select “Network and Internet”

  3. Then you will select “Network and Sharing Center”

  4. Then select on the left-hand side “Change Adapter Settings”

  5. On the Network Connections screen, we want to look for the port with the Trackman connected. Normally this would be would say “Unidentified network”, but you can always have the customer unplug the TM4 and look for which one disconnects to be sure it is the right one

  6. Once you have the Ethernet the TM is connected to you want to double click or right click and go to “Properties”, which will bring up the image below

  7. From here you want to click the “Configure” button and select the “Drivers” tab. Here you will be able to see when the driver was last updated. If it is not within the last couple months, it probably needs updated which you will want to google the specific driver. In this example we would do “Killer E2600 Gigabit Ethernet Controller Driver”
