To help reduce and avoid disconnection or connection issues when using your Trackman unit with an ethernet cable, follow the steps in this guide. These recommendations are designed to ensure your connection remains stable and reliable.
Device Manager
- Open Device Manager
- Navigate to Network Adapters
- Right click the ethernet adapter (usually called “controller”) and select properties
- Power Management
- Deselect "Only allow a magic packet to wake the computer"
- Deselect "Allow this device to wake the computer"
- Deselect “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power”
- Advanced
- Speed & Duplex – Change value to 1 Gbps full duplex (must be set to 1)
- Jumbo Frame – 9014 / 9K
- Energy efficient Ethernet – Disabled
- Power Saving Mode – Disabled
File Explorer
- Open File Explorer
- Enter Network
- At the top a yellow banner will show saying “File & Network Sharing is not turned on”
- Click the Banner
- It will ask if you want to enable File & Network Sharing, select yes
Network Connection
- Open Network Connection - Click "⊞ + R" on your keyboard then enter "ncpa.cpl"
- Right click the Ethernet the Trackman unit is using
- Select Properties
- Deselect "Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6)
- Click "OK"
