Restrictions In B&P

Restrictions:

So what are restrictions- just as the name suggests restrictions restrict a bay course player options from something or we can set them up to only a certain time the restricted bay appear 

We have different kinds of restrictions you can find the full list of restrictions with an explanation written a bit lower

Let's have a look at the Restrictions

We can find Restrictions in Admin Panel > Settings > Restrictions

There are 3 steps to setting up a restriction

  1. Create a Flag most possibly with the name of the restriction (we can do that inside the restriction when we set it up)
  2.  Create the restriction with the correct effect and Rules
  3. Add to the Bay/course option that you would like to restrict

Here is a quick guide to show how to set restrictions and what the 3 basic ones mean

When we create restrictions we will come across a new window

  • Name: How you want to refer to your restriction. Make it concise and representative.
  • Apply To Staff: Whether you want to restrict staff and customers, or just customers.
  • Affected Object: What kind of object will this restriction be targeting? e.g. Bay options, Course option, Product, Player options, Topup or Extra.
  • Message: This message will be displayed if the rule is triggered. Only relevant for disable/inform effects. Only appears 
  • Effect:  This might be a bit tricky so let's understand the effect
    • exclude: exclude the option and only show when we the set criteria meets
    • disable: disable the option and will show but has a red line across saying Only available "The name of the restriction" and you wont be able to chose it
    • Inform: IT will have a blue little informing line under the option what you setting in the restriction message but the customer still able to book them
  • Flags : are the labels that you will use to link Options and Restrictions together

Once we set up What we would like it will bring up the next window

Here we will be able to add the kind of rules that we would like to restrict the Options

  • available from to date

    • You can set a date period it would show the option

  • max book ahead

    • Set the period customers can book ahead an option, you can choose the Unit e.g. hour, day, week, month, year
  • max book ahead if no perk

    • Same as before only this time you can have different unit set up if the customer hasn`t got a perk like a membership

  • max concurrency

    • The amount of bookings of this specific option that can be booked at any one time.

  • max concurrency for user with perk

    • Same as before only this time you can have different unit set up if the customer has perks like a membership

  • max concurrency for user without perk

    • Same as before only this time you can have different unit set up if the customer hasn`t got a perk like a membership

  • max in calendar period

    • State the maximum amount of times one customer can book this option within a specified time period. You can choose the Unit e.g. hour, day, week, month, year and the amount of uses.

  • max in rolling days

    • Once one booking has been made the rolling day timer will start. You can select an amount of uses within a rolling period.

  • max players

    • How many players can maximum book that Option you can set this with the player option as well

  • max upcoming bookings

    • How many bookings you can have all together in one time in the future

  • min book ahead if no perk

    • Set the period customers can book ahead an option if they haven`t got perk assign to them, you can choose the Unit e.g. hour, day, week, month, year 

  • min book ahead if perk

    • Set the period customers can book ahead an option if they got perk assign to them, you can choose the Unit e.g. hour, day, week, month, year 

  • min players

    • How many players can minimum book that Option you can set this with the player option as well

  • not requires date

    • Specify a date for the option not to show.

  • not requires day of week time

    • Specify a day of the week and time for the bay option not to show.

  • not requires perk

    • If you want a customer with a specific perk to not view a specific option e.g. non-member options.

  • requires balance

    • if the customer have balance on his account

  • requires date

    • Specify a date for the option to show.

  • requires day of week time

    • Specify a day and time for the bay option to show.

  • requires perk

    • If you want a customer with a specific perk to view a specific option e.g. members only options

  • requires minute value
    • Enable bookings only on the hour or on the half hour. Enter 0 for bookings on the hour and 30 for bookings only on the half hour.
