Including Additional Bay Assets in Restart and Shutdown

The Turn off radar and PC action can also turn off other equipment in the bay.

To ensure that all bay equipment enters idle mode or powers off together, the equipment must be connected through a compatible primary/secondary power strip.

How It Works

A primary/secondary power strip monitors the power state of the device connected to its primary outlet and automatically controls power to the secondary outlets.

In a typical bay setup:

• The PC is connected to the primary outlet. 
• Additional equipment, such as projectors, displays, cameras, and other bay accessories, is connected to the secondary outlets. 
• When the PC enters idle mode or shuts down, the power strip automatically removes power from the connected secondary devices. 
• When the PC is powered on again, power is restored to the connected devices.

Requirements

To include additional bay assets when turning off the bay:

• A compatible primary/secondary power strip must be installed. 
• The PC must be connected to the primary outlet. 
• All devices that should be controlled automatically must be connected to the secondary outlets. 
• Devices connected directly to wall power or a separate power source will not be affected.

Important: Only devices connected through the primary/secondary power strip will automatically enter idle mode or power off with the PC. 
Devices connected elsewhere must be managed separately.
