Follow these steps to correctly configure the power settings on your Windows PC for optimal Trackman Golf performance:
1. Adjust Power Settings
- Open the Control Panel:
- Type "Control Panel" into the Windows search bar and open it.
- Search for Power Settings:
- In the Control Panel, use the search bar in the top-right corner to search for "Power."
- Select Power Options:
- Choose Power Options from the results.
- Click on Change plan settings next to your current power plan.
- Then click on Change advanced power settings.
- Disable USB Selective Suspend:
- In the advanced power settings, find USB settings.
- Expand the section and set Selective suspend setting to Disabled.
- Turn Off PCI Express Link State Power Management:
- Under PCI Express, find Link State Power Management.
- Set this option to Off.
- Apply and Close:
- Click Apply to save the changes and close the windows.
2. Adjust Ethernet Power Management
- Open Device Manager:
- Type "Device Manager" in the Windows search bar and open it.
- Find Network Adapters:
- Click the arrow next to Network adapters to expand the list.
- Right-click your Ethernet port and select Properties.
- Disable Power Management Option:
- In the Properties window, go to the Power Management tab.
- Ensure the top checkbox, "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power," is unchecked.
- Apply Changes:
- Click Apply if needed and close the window.
