TMIO | TPS Not Connecting to an iOS Camera

If TPS is unable to connect to an iOS camera through a TMIO device, the most common cause is that the Windows PC and the iPhone are not connected to the same network.

For the connection to work, both devices must be connected to the same network and share the same IPv4 range. This guide explains how to verify the network information on both devices and confirm that they can communicate with each other.

Steps on the PC

  1. Open Network Connections
    • Press  Windows + R
    • Type in ncpa.cpl
    • Select OK.
  2. Identify the network adapter that is currently connected to the network.

  3. Open Command Prompt
    • Press Windows + R
    • Type cmd
    • Select OK.
  4. Type ipconfig and press Enter.

  5. Locate the IPv4 Address of the active network adapter.
  6. Write down the IPv4 Address shown for later comparison.

Steps on the iOS Device

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Select WLAN

  3. Tap the information (i) icon next to the connected wireless network.

  4. Scroll down to the IPv4 Address section.

  5. Locate the IP Address field.
  6. Write down the IP Address shown for comparison with the PC.

What to Check

  • Verify that the PC and the iPhone are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
  • Verify that both devices have an IPv4 address assigned.
  • Verify that the first three sections of the IPv4 address are the same on both devices.

Example

  • PC: 192.168.14.xxx
  • iPhone: 192.168.14.xxx
    • ✅ Devices are on the same network.

  • PC: 192.168.14.xxx
  • iPhone: 192.168.1.xxx
    • ❌ Devices are on different networks and TPS will not be able to connect to the iOS camera.

If the IPv4 addresses do not match, reconnect both devices to the same network and test the TPS camera connection again.
