When using TPS (Trackman Performance Studio), you may receive the error message "Could not start screen capture" along with the warning "Failed to get default audio format." This issue is typically caused by Windows microphone audio enhancements interfering with TPS's ability to access the audio device. 

Fixing the Error

1. Go to Windows Settings.
2. Select System > Sound. 
   
   
    
3. Under the Input section, select the microphone currently being used. 
   
   
    
4. Scroll down to Audio enhancements.
5. Open the drop-down menu and select Off. 
   
   
    
6. Close Windows Settings.
7. Restart TPS.
8. Attempt to start Screen Capture again.
