IDS cameras not visible in TPS fix:
- In windows search control panel
- Open control panel and navigate to “uninstall a program"
- Find the program named “IDS uEye SDK
- Right click and select uninstall
- Follow prompts.
- If you find the application is failing to uninstall reboot and uninstall once more
- Once the application is uninstalled Go to https://www.ids-imaging.us/downloads.html then select the ‘US webstore’
- Then select ‘uEye industrial cameras
- Select the first drop down and change it to ‘USB 2’ then hit ‘show’ (the other drop downs do not matter)
- You should see a discontinued red box and an option to click ‘Software’. This will give a drop down showing the IDS Software Suite, select that
- Select the ‘Download button’ on version 4.96.1
- A pop up will appear like below and you will need to scroll down a little to see the ‘Accept’ button. When you see that click it
- After hitting ‘Accept’ it should start downloading the IDS Software Suite. You can go ahead and click it to open once finished downloading. If it does not open automatically go to the file explorer and then to the downloads folder. (Double click on the ids-software-suite-win zip)
- Double click this application and then it will prompt you to extract

- Select extract. The file pathing does not need to be changed
- Then you can double click again on the uEye .exe application – this should open the installer for the software suite
- You will get a pop up asking to allow it to make changes to the hard drive. Select ‘yes’
- Then the Installer will pop up asking for the language which is most going to be English
- After that you should be able to follow the steps installing the uEye software like TPS. Leave everything default in set up
- Upon opening TPS the issue should be resolved
