There may be certain times in the year when you’d like to host a special activity/event and adjust your bay or course options for just one or two days. The challenge is that if you change the current setup, it will display immediately. However, if you only want it to appear for a specific date, that’s where our Requires Date and Not Requires Date restrictions come in handy.
Some setup will be required, but the basic principle is simple: you’ll add an extra bay or course option that temporarily replaces the existing options for a single day, much like adjusting for peak and off-peak times. The main difference here is that you’ll only apply these changes for specific days.

Step 1: What You'll Need to Get Started
- Determine Your Date of the Activity/Event
First, decide when the activity/event will take place. This is the foundation of the setup. - Create a new Bay/Course option for the activity/event

Each restriction will need a unique flag, such as "Halloween" and "Normal Days" We’ll set these flags during the restriction setup process. - Define How the Restrictions Will Behave
Set the rules that control when and how these restrictions are applied. - Apply the Flags to the Relevant Bay Options
Attach the "Halloween" flag to the Halloween options.
Similarly, apply the "Normal Days" flag to the Normal Option options.

Now, Let’s Move on to Setting Up Restrictions
This part can be a bit tricky, but don't worry—we’ll walk you through it!

In the Venue Restrictions section, you’ll see a small "+" button in the middle of the screen.
Click that button, and a new window will open, allowing you to create a new restriction.
Configuring the Restriction Settings
Let’s dive into the specific fields you’ll encounter when setting up your restrictions. This part might seem tricky, but with a bit of guidance, you'll master it!
- Name
- What it does: The name is how you’ll refer to the restriction.
- Tip: Keep it concise and representative so it’s easy to identify later.
- Apply to Staff
- Option: Choose whether this restriction applies to both staff and customers, or only customers.
- Affected Object
- What it does: Select what kind of object the restriction will target, such as:
- Bay Options
- Course Options
- Products
- Player Options
- Topups or Extras
- What it does: Select what kind of object the restriction will target, such as:
- Message
- Purpose: This message will appear when the restriction rule is triggered.
- Note: It only applies to disable or inform effects.

- Effect
- This section determines how the restriction behaves. Let’s explore the options:
- Exclude: The option will only show when the set criteria are met.
- Disable: The option will appear with a red line across it and a message saying, "Only available: [Restriction Name]." It cannot be selected.
- Inform: A blue notification line will appear under the option with the restriction message, but customers can still book it.
- Important Note:
- Exclude/disable effects don’t block options during the times set in the rule—they restrict access outside those times.
- This section determines how the restriction behaves. Let’s explore the options:
- Flags
- What they do: Flags are labels that link Options and Restrictions.
- How to use them:
- Click on "+ Add first flag" to open a pop-up window.
- If the flag doesn’t exist yet, click the "+" icon to create one on the spot.
- After creating it, don’t forget to add it to the restriction.
Creating a Rule
Once you click Create, you’ll be ready to add a rule to the restriction.
How to Configure the Rule:
- Click on “Edit Rules.”
- A new line will appear with a dropdown where you can select the rule type.
- Add the days and time range when the option should be available.
Finalizing the Rule and Applying the Restrictions
Once we’ve found the correct rule, the "Add Restriction Rule" button will become clickable. Now, let’s set the date for the activity/event first
Let's select "Requires Date" and set the specific date when the activity/event should display.
We only need to add the date we’d like the activity/event to appear; there’s no need to adjust the times.
Once we set the date we can click save
Now we should have everything set up
The next step is to go to the bay option we created for this activity/event and apply the same flag directly to the option itself.
When you go to the booking page, the option will appear on the specified date and then disappear on other dates.
If you’d like to hide all other options on that day, you would use the "Not Required Date" restriction. The process is similar for both restrictions, but with a key difference: "Required Date" ensures the option appears only on the specified day, while "Not Required Date" hides options on that specified day. Once you've set up the restriction, simply apply the flags to your regular options to control their visibility.
