What Is Navigation And How Do You Add Them?

If your venue has multiple line items such as Bays, Memberships, or a Shop Page, you can streamline access by using Navigation. This feature creates convenient tiles for your booking page, allowing users to access each option. 

As shown in the image above, Navigation can also be used to access Events, but its most common applications are the features mentioned above.

Some Navigation tiles may be automatically generated if Bays and Memberships are enabled in your system. However, if your venue has multiple options, you will need to manually configure them.

Now that we understand what Navigation is, let’s go through the setup process. 

How To Set Up Navigation

To configure Navigation, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Booking & Payments platform
  2. Navigate to Settings > Navigation

If this is your first time setting up Navigation, your screen will look similar to the image below. (Note: If your system has "Events" enabled, you will see an additional button called "Event Link.") 

Important Considerations Before Setup:

Before you begin, it’s crucial to ensure that if you set up one Navigation tile, you must set up all enabled options.

For example, if your venue offers both Bays and Courses, and you create a tile for Courses, you must also create a tile for Bays. Otherwise, users will not be able to navigate back to the Bay page without reloading the entire system.

Understanding The Navigation Setup Options

Each button serves a specific purpose:

  • Range Link → Used for Bays
  • Course Link → Used for Courses
  • Top-ups Link → Used for Top-ups and Gift Cards
  • External Link → Used to add a link to an external website
  • Shop Page Link → Used for your Shop 

The setup process is similar for all options.

Navigation Tile Setup Options

  • Title → The name displayed on the tile
  • Description → (Optional) A short description below the title
  • Link Target → Defines the destination when using an external link
  • Bay/Course Selection → If setting up a Course or Range tile, select the relevant Bay or Course (e.g., Simulator or Driving Range)
  • Icon Button → Allows you to add a small image to the tile (Custom images must be sent to our team for upload)
  • Background Color → Choose a color for the tile

After filling out each field, click "create" and head to the booking page to see your navigations.
