Trackman Classic App End Of Life FAQs

Trackman Golf Classic App end-of-life FAQs

Why is the product being discontinued?

  • The Golf Pro App is the superior app with more and better features. The most requested features from Classic have been implemented in Golf Pro
  • Focused development – only having one app to allocate resources towards will allow for better support, faster development and creating more exciting and useful features.

When is the end of life date?

  • End of development: Latest app store version of the Classic app is from January 31, 2022
  • Removed from App Store: End of May 2025
  • End of technical support: End of September 2025

What does this mean for you?

We highly recommend switching from the Classic app to the Golf Pro app right away, as the Golf Pro app is being actively maintained and further developed.
Switching should not have any significant impact, as all main features from Classic have been implemented in Golf Pro, and the few remaining features are planned for future updates.
If you have an active software subscription, you will also have access to all current and upcoming features in the Golf Pro app.

If you want to keep using Classic:

You can continue to use the Classic App as usual, even beyond May 2025 and September 2025. However, there will be no updates.

From June 2025 onwards, you will not be able to download the App anymore, so you must keep the device that you have the Classic App installed on. You can still request support from us until End of September 2025

From October 2025 onwards, you can still use the app, but we will not be able to provide any support.

Does the Golf Pro app also work on Android?

No, unfortunately both the Classic app and Golf Pro app is only available on iOS (iPad and iPhone)

What happens to my data?

Today, all data is uploaded from Classic (if connected to internet), except for videos
If you are missing a video in Golf Pro from within the last year in the Classic app, it is possible to get those videos over to Golf Pro one by one by:

  • Sharing a Dynamic report incl. videos in the Classic app
  • Sharing the video itself in the Classic app

This will be possible as long as the Classic app is on the coach’s iPhone/iPad and the video is less than 1 year old.
The videos will be available in the Golf Pro app if the iPhone/iPad is connected to the internet, has the data sync toggle ON in the Golf Pro app, and the connected TM4 unit has an active software subscription.

What about videos that are more than 1 year old?

Currently they are stored on your iPhone/iPad and uploaded to Trackman Cloud if shared in a Dynamic Report incl. video or you have shared the video itself.
It is unfortunately currently not possible to access those old videos inside the Golf Pro app, but we plan to make it possible in the future. At this point we recommend to make sure that the videos are uploaded to the Cloud, so that they don’t “get lost”
