NEXT | Video Recording Guide

Recording your rounds is mandatory when playing in the NEXT Golf Tour. Recordings are used for:

  • Rulings and score verification
  • Tournament coverage, including results, highlight reels, and player profiles

Recordings are made and automatically uploaded through the NEXT Recorder app.

Storage

  • Good internet: minimal storage needed (videos upload as you play).
  • Poor internet: free up 2 GB before your round.

Camera Position

  • Record in vertical orientation.
  • Place the camera behind the hitting area, aligned with the Trackman unit, so your entire body/swing and the impact screen are visible.
  • Ensure the impact screen is clear on video. If needed, ask the facility to increase the projector brightness.
  • Use a tripod to keep the angle stable throughout the round.

Additional Tips & Tricks

  • Set your device to Do Not Disturb to avoid interruptions from calls or notifications.
  • A full 18-hole round takes 30–40 minutes per player, so start with a fully charged phone to prevent shutdowns mid-round.
