Configuring Booking Extras

To set up booking extras, follow these steps:

  1. Insert a Name – Define a name for the extra option.
  2. Add a Display Name – This is the name that will appear on the booking page.
  3. Provide a Description (optional) – Add additional details for customers if needed.
  4. Select an Item Style – Choose the layout style:
    • Slim: Stretches across the page.
    • Standard: Displays as a block.
Try both and select the one that best fits your preference.
  5. Set Availability – Determine whether customers can see and select this option during booking.
  6. Define Minimum Quantity – Set the minimum number of selections required before proceeding with the booking:
    • If set to 1, customers must select at least one option.
    • If set to 0, the selection remains optional.
  7. Define Maximum Quantity – Set the maximum number of items a customer can select.
  8. Set Order Priority – Arrange the order in which options appear on the booking page.
    • A higher number (e.g., 9) places the option at the top.
    • Options are displayed in descending order.
    • This works similarly to the Bay/Course options.
  9. Add Products – Include the products you want to offer.
    • If products haven’t been created yet, navigate to Admin Panel > Settings > Product Settings > Products to create them.
    • Use the "+" button to add multiple products.
  10. Add a Flag – If a flag has not been created yet, you can easily create one here to link the extras with the booking system.

How to Link a Booking Extra to a Bay Option

  1. Create the Booking Extra
    • Set up your Booking Extra by following the steps above.
  2. Add a Flag to the Booking Extra
    • Scroll to the bottom of the Booking Extra setup window and add a Flag. This flag acts as a connector between the extra and the Bay Option.
  3. Add the Same Flag to the Bay Option
    • Go to the Bay Options section and find the option where the extra should apply.
In the Additional Settings tab, add the same Flag you used in the Booking Extra.
    • Without the flag connection, the Booking Extra won’t appear during the booking process—even if it’s active. The flag ensures the extra is only shown when the correct Bay Option is selected.
