General | Live Sales - Point Of Sale (POS) Setup ⛳

This article explains the Live Sales System, which is available when you are using Booking & Payments' Point of Sale system.

The Live Sales system is built for food and beverage businesses that need real-time visibility into customer purchases. It allows you to:

  • Instantly view new orders as they’re placed
  • Create filtered views based on specific product categories
  • Automatically print service tickets for streamlined kitchen and bar operations

Accessing the Live Sales Feature

To get started:

  1. Go to the Booking & Payments
  2. Navigate to the "POS" tab. Here, you'll see the Point of Sale views you’ve already configured.
  3. Click on "Live Sales" in the center of the screen. See image below.

Creating and Using Filters

What Are Filters?

Filters are sets of rules applied to purchases that determine which items appear in each Live Sales View. They help you organize and direct orders efficiently. For example:

  • Food orders can be sent to the kitchen.
  • Beverages can be sent to the bar.

How to Create a Filter

  1. Go to "Settings" > "Filters".
  2. Click the "+" button to add a new filter
  3. Configure the filter:
    • Give it a name (e.g., Bar Sales, Kitchen Sales).
    • Add or create a flag. This flag will later be assigned to products so they match the appropriate filter.

Once products have a matching flag, they’ll automatically appear in the Live Sales View that uses the corresponding filter.

The Live Sales View

After clicking the Live Sales button, you’ll see a list of your filters. Select one to open a Live Sales View in a new tab. Any purchased items that match the selected filter will be displayed in real-time.

Toolbar Overview

At the top of the Live Sales View, you’ll find settings, which you can configure:

  • Live Sale Name: e.g., Live Purchases
  • Filter Name: e.g., Bar Sales
  • Printer Set: Assign a printer for this view (requires YGB Print Manager).

Multi-Location Use

You can have multiple Live Sales tabs open at the same time - each connected to a different printer (e.g., for the kitchen, bar, or front-of-house).

When an order that matches the new filter comes in:

  • It will appear in the correct Live Sales tab
  • It will automatically print to the designated printer (if auto-printing is enabled at the top of the view)

Note: The Live Sales tab must remain open for automatic printing to function properly.
This ensures a fast, efficient service flow and minimizes delays.

Configuring Chrome

To ensure open tabs are still active even when not currently selected please add the below setting:

Please navigate to Chrome Settings > "Performance" > "General" > "Always keep these sites active" > Click "Add" > Select portal.trackmangolf.com checkbox OR click "Add sites manually" and type in portal.trackmangolf.com

Excluding Products from being printed from a Certain Computer Till

If you want a location to exclude products from being sent to a specific Live Sales Filter when creating a purchase from a specific device, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to "Settings" > "Miscellaneous" > "Device Alias"
  2. Click "Add Device" to register the specific device.
  3. Next, navigate to "Settings" > "Filters".
    • Either create a new filter or edit an existing one by clicking the pencil icon.
    • At the bottom of the filter editor window, you’ll find "Device ID Exclusions". Here, you can select the device you want to exclude from sending products to the filter.
