General | Understanding PC Specifications

  • Updated

To ensure smooth performance with Trackman 4 and Trackman iO, your PC needs to meet certain specifications. Let’s break down what each component does and why it matters.

Overview of Key Computer Components

  1. Operating System
    • The operating system (OS) is the software that manages your computer’s hardware and software resources. Trackman software is optimized for Windows 10. Using the correct OS ensures compatibility and stability.
    • Trackman Requirement: Windows 10 (64-bit).
  2. RAM (Random Access Memory)
    • RAM is your computer’s short-term memory. It temporarily stores data that your system is actively using. Trackman software processes a lot of data during use. More RAM allows it to run smoothly without lag, especially when multitasking or using high-resolution graphics. As an example, running AI Motion Analysis requires 16 GB RAM itself.
    • Trackman Requirement: 32 GB RAM.
  3. CPU (Central Processing Unit)
    • The CPU is the brain of your computer. It handles all the instructions from software and hardware. A powerful CPU ensures Trackman software runs quickly and processes data in real time. Essential for accurate shot tracking and simulation.
    • Trackman Requirement: Intel i7 3.4 GHz or Intel Core Ultra 7.
  4. Graphics Card (GPU)
    • The graphics card renders images, videos, and animations. It’s especially important for 3D graphics and simulations. A high-end GPU ensures realistic graphics and smooth visuals in Trackman’s simulation environment. Note: Intel Iris Xe and AMD GPUs are not supported.
    • Trackman Requirement: For Trackman iO/Duo: Nvidia RTX 4070ti or 4070ti Super. For Trackman 4 4K Setup: Nvidia RTX 4080, 4080 Super, 4090 or 5080 and above
  5. Hard Drive (Storage)
    • The hard drive stores your operating system, software, and files. An SSD loads data much faster than traditional hard drives, reducing startup and loading times for Trackman software.
    • Trackman Requirement: 1TB SSD (Solid State Drive).
  6. Ethernet Ports
    • An Ethernet port allows your computer to connect to the internet or other devices using a wired connection. Wired connections are more stable and faster than Wi-Fi, which is essential for real-time data transfer between your PC and the Trackman device.
    • Trackman Requirement: For Trackman 4: Requires 1 Ethernet Port + WiFi. For Trackman iO/Duo: Requires 2x1GBit/s Ethernet Ports
