Payment Configuration | Charge Types ⛳

Setting up your payment methods in Your Golf Booking, you might come across different charge types. Each one represents a specific method of collecting or processing your payment. Here’s a quick guide to help you understand what each one means.

  1. Adyen Link
    • An Adyen Link is a secure online payment link sent to you via email or SMS. You can click the link to pay using your preferred card or digital wallet.
    • It’s perfect for remote payments or when you’re not physically present at the location.
  2. Card (External)
    • This means the card payment was processed using a non-Adyen terminal—for example, a third-party card reader.
    • The transaction is still recorded in the Booking & Payment system, but the payment was handled externally.
  3. Cash
    • A straightforward option— customer paid in cash at your facility. This is manually recorded in the system to keep track of your payment.
  4. Cash (withdraw)
    • This charge type is used when cash is withdrawn from the till, often for operational reasons like giving change or handling petty cash.
    • This is manually recorded in the system to keep track of your payment.
  5. External POS
    • This refers to payments processed through an external Point of Sale (POS) system. It means the transaction was handled outside the main booking system but is still logged for record-keeping.
  6. YGB Balance
    • If the customer has a YGB (Your Golf Booking) balance, this means the payment was deducted from the existing account credit or preloaded balance.
    • It’s a convenient way to use funds already associated with the YGB account.
