TM4 | How To Collect TMFs Using An iPad

  • Updated

If you are experiencing tracking issues within TPS, our support agents might need to collect Trackman Support Files (TMFs) to escalate and have them analyzed. These files are shot specific data files generated by every shot, including information that could determine where the issue is and help us understand how to improve or solve the matter.

Collecting TMFs Using an iPad

  1. Open a Web Browser
    • Launch Safari or any web browser on your iPad.
  2. Access the Recording Interface
    • In the address bar, type the following IP address: 172.30.20.1
    • Press "Enter" to load the page.
  3. Log In
    • Click the "Login" button.
    • No password is required
  4. Navigate to the Recording Tool
    • Tap on "Tools"
    • Then select "Record"
  5. Prepare for Recording
    • Get ready to hit a shot using a 6 iron.
    • Position yourself and ensure the environment is ready for recording.
  6. Start the Recording
    • Tap the "Record" button.
    • A countdown timer will appear.
    • When the screen says "GO", hit your shot.
  7. Save the Recording
    • After your shot:
      • Tap the "SAVE" button in the browser.
      • This saves the file as record.tmd2.
  8. Repeat for 5 Shots
    • Repeat steps 5–7 until you have recorded five shots.
  9. Download the Files
    • Go to the "LOGS" section in the web interface.
    • Choose the option to "Download Logs".
    • The files will typically be saved in your iPad’s "Downloads" folder.

The TMFs have now been saved and you are ready to send the files to Trackman Support for further investigation.
