When using Shot Analysis in Trackman Performance Studio (TPS), the Data Compliance Mode setting (Public or Private) determines how and where shot data is stored.
This article explains the key differences to help you manage session data appropriately.
In Public Mode
Use Case: For guest sessions, events, or when players scan a QR code to log in.
How Data Is Handled:
- Data is not saved locally on the PC.
- Shot data is only uploaded to the Trackman Cloud if:
- The player is logged in with a Trackman account, or
- The player scans the QR code before the session.
- This mode ensures compliance with privacy standards by not storing data locally unless explicitly linked to a user.
In Private Mode
Use Case: For internal use, coaching sessions, or when data needs to be reviewed later.
How Data Is Handled:
- Shot data is saved locally on the PC.
- Sessions can be accessed later via "Shot History" in TPS.
- Data is not automatically uploaded to the cloud unless the user is logged in.
- This mode is ideal for coaches or facilities that want to retain session data for analysis or follow-up.
