While TM4 supports virtually all golf balls, for the most accurate indoor tracking, we highly recommend using Titleist RCT (Radar Capture Technology) balls. 

Radar Capture Technology

These balls are specially designed with a metallic core that reflects radar waves more effectively. RCT balls are engineered with a metallic layer inside, which plays a crucial role in enhancing radar tracking. Radar-based systems like TM4 rely on electromagnetic waves to measure ball speed, spin, and trajectory. 

The metal in RCT balls reflects these radar waves more effectively than standard materials, allowing TM4 to capture more accurate and consistent spin rate data, even in confined indoor spaces where ball flight is limited.

Avoid Using

While TM4 can track most balls, novelty balls—like those with unusual patterns or bold colors (black or pink) might not perform as well. These designs can interfere with radar tracking and lead to less reliable results.

Also, please avoid using worn golf balls. A worn golf ball with a worn dimple pattern can cause tracking issues and if it has cuts in the outer mantle it can harm the hitting screen when using the TM4 indoor.
