Impact Height (Tee to Green)

  • Definition
    • The vertical impact location distance relative to the center of the face.
That is, Impact Height measures how far the ball is hit above or below the center of the club face.

  • The Use of Impact Height
    • Impact Height is useful when working on ball striking. For example, an Impact Height above the center of the face generally leads to a lower Spin Rate, and an Impact Height below the center of the face generally leads to a higher Spin Rate.
    • Impact Height is therefore also useful to help understand the tendencies of other parameters such as Spin Rate, Smash Factor and Ball Speed as these are affected by the Impact Height.
