Club Path (Putting)
- Definition
- The in-to-out or out-to-in movement of the club head’s geometric center at the time of maximum compression.
- Club Path is the direction the club head is moving (right or left) at impact and is measured relative to the target line.
- The Use of Height
- Club Path is fundamental for understanding the putting stroke and Launch Direction of the putt.
- On Trackman, Club Path is displayed as a positive or negative number, where a positive number (+) indicates a Club Path to the right of the target line and a negative number (-) indicates a Club Path to the left.
- Players can use this knowledge to make adjustments to achieve the desired Launch Direction and increase accuracy, consistency etc.
