Ball Speed (Putting)

  • Definition
    • The speed of the golf ball’s center of gravity immediately after separation from the club face.
  • The Use of Ball Speed
    • Being able to have to have a consistent Ball Speed on a given putt, allows the golfer to not only have better distance control but also improve their green reading.
    • Variable ball speed will result in different distances and having to choose different green readds due to a change in entry speed.
