    • The green’s speed of the individual putt, based on the average roll deceleration.
  • The Use of Effective Stimp
    • Effective Stimp is a great tool to help you calibrate the speed of the given putt, as it measures the green speed on the actual putt.
    • It is useful in being able to understand how the slope can affect the speed of the ball.
    • Not all greens a flat, a downhill putt will have a higher effective stimp than the Flat Stimp number shown.
    • The opposite applies for uphill putts.
    • This means that a golfer would need to adapt their read and ball speed to accommodate the change in stimp.
