Portal | Bays Not Responding to Control Room Commands

If you are unable to send commands (such as locking/unlocking bays or displaying messages) through the Control Room, work through the following troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue.

Note: The bay must be online and displaying a Green or Blue status in the Control Room. If a bay shows as offline, it will not process commands.

  1. Check Network Health & Stability
    • The Portal relies on a stable network connection to communicate with each bay. If the network is slow, unstable, or interrupted, commands will fail to reach the bays.
    • Check your internet connection.
    • Switch to a wired connection if you are using Wi-Fi.
    • Ensure no firewall, proxy, or VPN is blocking network traffic.
  2. Verify TPS Status on Bay PCs
    • Trackman Performance Software (TPS) must be running and responsive on each bay PC. If TPS is closed, frozen, or has crashed, the bay will not respond.
    • Go to the bay PC and confirm TPS is running and responsive.
    • Restart TPS if it appears frozen or unresponsive.
  3. Ensure the Facility is Selected
    • If the facility is not selected in TPS, it will not send signals to the Portal. This causes the bay to appear offline in the Control Room and fail to respond to commands.
    • Open TPS and click on the menu icon (three lines) in the bottom-right corner.

    • Under Facility, verify that your facility is selected

  4. Check Trackman Unit Connection
    • In TPS, click on the Trackman icon in the bottom of the screen

    • Verify the unit connection status:
      • Connected: You will see the calibration screen.
      • Disconnected: You will see a connection prompt asking you to connect the unit.
