This feature will enable our facility owners to create a paid tournament and charge an entry fee per tournament entry. Read below how you set up a paid tournament with pay per entry, as well as how you join through either TPS, the Golf App or the Portal.
Setting up Paid Tournament with Pay per Entry
- When creating a CTP or Hit-It Paid Tournament, you can enable the "Allow multiple entries" function under "Entry Fee". If you toggle this on, it will enable players to buy multiple entries.
- This feature only works for single rounds:
- If "Allow multiple entries" is enabled, the tournament host will get a warning message when trying to add an extra round, as this only works for single-round tournaments.
Joining a Paid Tournament with pay per entry: TPS
For both invitational and public tournaments, players can join the tournament in TPS under ‘Tournaments'. Here you will see that an entry fee is required to participate in the tournament, and you will be prompted to scan a QR code and pay to participate.
- By clicking "Select tournament" below the QR code will send you directly to the Player Lobby.
- When you have scanned the QR Code in TPS, you will end up in the tournament details page in the app where you can pay.
Joining a Paid Tournament with pay per entry: Golf App
In case of invitational tournaments, players can also join paid tournaments directly from the Golf App in the Tournaments sections. In here, you can:
- Join tournament: You will get informed about how many attempts you have per entry.
- Buy entries: You can purchase additional entries while the tournament is live, and you will see how many attempts you have remaining.
- Withdraw: You can always withdraw from the tournament, but no refunds are made.
Joining a Paid Tournament with pay per entry: Portal
Another option for invitational tournaments is to join and pay through the Player Portal where Players can keep track of remaining attempts and purchase additional entries while the tournament is live.
- In the tournament invitation you can see how many attempts per entry you have
- You can also buy additional entries by clicking "Purchase entries" if the tournament is live and these attempts will be added.
- Finally, players have the option of withdrawing from a tournament, which will set off a warning as the entry fee in non-refundable.
- If you withdraw, you can get re-invited by the tournament host and use your remaining attempts or buy extra attempts.
Administrating a Paid Tournament
If "Allow multiple entries" is enabled on a published or live tournament, the tournament host will not be able to add extra rounds.
- On the Details page when the tournament is published you can see if multiple entries is enabled or not, as well as how many attempts is allowed per entry.
