Golf Pro App | New Features in Golf Pro App 4.3

The Trackman Golf Pro App newest release, version 4.3 includes some brand new features and improvements.

This article goes through the key features and provides an overview of the how the new features can benefit your training.

1. Performance Center Tee Shots Summary
- New Aggregated Summary View
  - Determine from the driving rangewhether Tee Shots or Approach Shots have greater improvement potential.
- UpGame - by Trackman
  - Determine from on-course rounds whether Tee Shots, Approach Shots, Around the Green, or Putting have greater improvement potential.
- New detailed Tee shots Summary
  - For up to 3 groups of Tee Shots, compare:
  - Strokes Gained
  - Dispersion
  - Avg. Trackman parameters
- For Coaches and Players: Compare shot strategies or clubs on specific tee shot
  - Quick Selection
    - The three groups on the Summary view are linked to Quick Selection on the Top view.
    - Choose the green group and hit 20 shots with the Driver and try to hit it past the bunker.
    - Then choose the purple group and hit 20 shots with the 3Wood for a more conservative strategy.
    - Lastly, try the safe strategy with the 3Iron.
- Summary
  - Check the summary to find which club and shot strategy had the best Strokes Gained and Trackman stats on the specific hole.
  - Use that club or strategy on the course for the lowest ‘expected score’.
- For Coaches and Players: Compare different intentions or swing thoughts
  - Quick Selection
    - Choose the green group and hit 15 shots with Swing Thought/Intention 1.
    - Then, choose the purple group and hit 15 shots with Swing Thought/Intention 2.
    - Lastly, choose the amber group and hit 15 shots with Swing Thought/Intention 2.
- Summary
  - Check the summary to find which swing thought/intention had the best Strokes Gained and Trackman stats. Use that swing thought on the course!
- For Coaches and Players: Randomized tee shot practice to identify tendencies
  - Random Mode
    - Generate random target for:
    - Tee Shots only
    - Approach Shots Only
    - Both (alternate)
- Summary
  - When in Random Mode, the minimap on the Summary aggregates groups across all tee shot scenarios from the session.
  - Identify trends in the Player’s tee shots when practicing real course-play scenarios on the range.
- For EQMs and Club Fitters: Compare club models and configurations
  - Quick Selection
    - Choose the green group and hit 15 shots using club configuration A.
    - Choose the purple group and hit 15 shots using club configuration B.
    - Choose the amber group and hit 15 shots using club configuration C.
- Summary
  - Check the summary to find which club model/configuration had the best Strokes Gained and Trackman stats. Change tags for each group on the Summary.
  - Recommend and sell the club/specs with the best performance (Strokes Gained).
2. Performance Center Behind Subscription
- Active subscription required
  - A one-year software subscription is included with the purchase of a Trackman unit and is automatically renewed annually. If the subscription expires, the user will lose access to Performance Center.
3. CSV Import of Groups and Players in Golf Events
- Start list in the right format on the iPad
  - Receive a start list from the tournament host or create it in Excel following the required format as described here and save it as a .CSV file on your laptop.
  - Transfer the .CSV file, e.g. via AirDrop, to the iPad which will be used for the Event.
- Import the file from 'Files' on the iPad to the Event on the Golf Pro App
  - Use the new import button in the top of the group list or import the groups and players during event creation.
4. Ping and PXG Drivers Added to Club Selection
- New Ping and PXG Custom Clubs
  - When enabled in Settings, Ping and PXG drivers can now also be selected from Club Selection.
  - By using the specific club head specifications of each, impact location and Spin Axis is slightly more accurate (Indoor Mode).
  - Note: The Edit Club feature from Club View in Shot Analysis is not available for EQM Custom Clubs.
5. 9Wood, 4Wood and 6Hybrid added to club selection
- Three additional clubs added
  - To stay aligned with modern equipment trends and based on market feedback regarding the absence of these three clubs compared to Classic, they have now been added.
  - Default degrees used for Optimizer:
  - 9 Wood: 29º
  - 4 Wood: 17º
  - 6 Hybrid: 31º
6. Report Sharing from iPhone
- Reports can be shared from Shot Analysis and Putting
  - Player will receive email with link to open in Golf App or Portal.
  - Reports are also automatically uploaded to Player when connected to wifi.
- MultiGroup report
  - To share a report, simply tap the View Selector button and then Share.
  - A shot is required for the button to be visible.
- SingleShot report
  - A single shot can also be shared by long-pressing in the Shot List.
- SingleGroup report
  - A single group can also be shared by long-pressing a group.
- Shot Analysis
  - The report is Dynamic - the report content can be edited before sharing.
  - Simply enter the email of the Player/Coach, who should receive the report.
  - Prefilled with currently selected Player in the session.
- Putting
  - The content is slightly different in a Putting report.
- Users can also share dynamic reports from iPhone
- Email received
  - Email includes link to open report in Golf App or in browser
- The Dynamic Report – on Portal
  - Switch between Dispersion, Trajectory, Optimizer, Club, and Video view.
  - Trackman data is available for each group of shots in table format.
  - Data can be normalized by toggle in bottom right corner.
- The Activity Report - on Golf app
  - Dispersion and Table view available for each of the groups.
- View report on Portal – Player
  - The email recipient can view the Dynamic Report and all other activities in the Player view – a Trackman account is required.
- View report on Portal – Coach
  - When a logged-in Golf Pro app user shares a Dynamic Report, it appears in the Coach view under the Player it was shared with.
7. Zoom on Target Selection
- Targets in the distance can now be selected with high accuracy – ensuring accurate target-related data parameters.
  - Pinch to zoom
    - Pinch with two fingers to zoom inside the crosshair.
    - The zoom level resets, when the target selection screen is reopened.
8. Basic License Handling
- New TM4 units are now shipped with a Basic License and upgraded to Indoor + Outdoor License during setup, when customer receives the unit.
  - TM4 Outdoor Basic License – New TM4 units shipped with very limited feature set:
    - Golf Pro app only – no TPS
    - Outdoor only – toggle on Target Selection is locked on Outdoor
    - Shot Analysis only (and Practice Round if Tour Player)
    - Numbers view only
    - Ball data only
  - TM4 unit is upgraded to Indoor + Outdoor license during setup, when customer receives the unit:
    - Once the customer receives the unit, it will be remotely upgraded to Indoor + Outdoor and the corresponding feature sets, in accordance with the purchase order.
    - In case you see the ‘Basic License’ UI – please make sure:
      1. TM4 unit has the right license on https://license-editor.trackman.com/RadarLicense.
      2. The license is downloaded to the Golf Pro app (wifi on iPhone/iPad required)
      3. The license is transferred from Golf Pro app to the TM4 (wifi between iPhone/iPad and TM4 required).
