After creating tickets in the Events tab, you have two choices:
- Tickets can either be available online for purchase, or
- They can be invitation only tickets.
If you decide to create invitation-only tickets, this guide explains how to sell those tickets later.
Invitation Only
If the tickets are invitation only, they will obviously not be available for purchase online by everyone. This means you need to sell the tickets to specific customers directly from the system.
- First, navigate to the Events tab.
- On the right side, click on 'Anonymous' and select the customer you want to sell the ticket to.
- After the customer is selected, click on the name of the event for which you want to sell tickets. On the right side of the screen, an option to select the ticket type will appear. Choose the correct ticket you want to sell, then click 'Add and Charge' to send your customer a link to pay.
Invitational Only but also 'Bookable Online'
In this case, the system will show the event on the booking page, but customers won’t be able to purchase tickets online. They will need to contact you directly to request a ticket, so it’s a good idea to include this information in the event description.
There is also one more option:
- The event can be available to everyone, but each ticket option has settings that allow you to configure a ticket as invitation only.
- This way, you can have one ticket option for everyone and another one exclusively for special guests, for example. The booking page will then display the tickets as shown in the image below.
