In-bay extension is a feature within the Trackman Integration. It allows players to extend their booking at the bay when their original booking is about to end.

To enable this feature, go to the Portal and then navigate to Booking & Payments → Settings → Manage Integrations. 

Then click the edit icon (pencil icon) to edit the Trackman integration and scroll all the way down.

How Does It Work?

When a session is coming to an end, a timer appears at the top of the screen 5 minutes before the session finishes. Within these 5 minutes, you have the chance to extend your booking by clicking the orange button “Extend booking”.

After clicking the “Extend booking” button, you will see a QR code that you need to scan with your mobile device.

Any of the players can scan it; it does not have to be the original booker.

Whoever scans the QR code will be able to extend the booking. The process works as follows:

• If the user is already logged in on the device, they will not need to log in again.
• If the user is not logged in, they must log in before they can extend the booking.

If the original booker scans the QR code:

• The originally booked bay option will be preselected.
• They can still choose a different available bay option if needed.
  For example, if a member has no remaining free hours, they can switch to another available bay type.

If another player scans the QR code:

• They can also extend the booking.
• They will only see the bay options available to them based on their membership or access rights (e.g. non-members will only see non-member options).

The system also allows you to add more players while extending the booking:

Then the process is the same as creating a normal booking. You will be taken to the checkout, where you need to pay for the booking. Once the purchase is completed, you can continue playing.

Important information

• For the venue, this appears exactly like a new separate booking.
• The system only allows you to extend the booking if the bay is not already booked by someone else.
• Please note that you only have 5 minutes to extend the booking. You cannot extend a booking that has already ended.
