After updating TPS using the installer, you may notice that it still launches an older version. This can happen if TPS is opened from a pinned shortcut on the Windows taskbar.
The taskbar shortcut may still be linked to the previous installation path, even though a newer version has already been installed.
To resolve this, please follow the steps below:
- Unpin the old shortcut
- Right click the TPS icon on the taskbar (bottom menu bar)
- Select "Unpin from taskbar"
- Launch the latest version of TPS
- Press the Windows key
- Search for Trackman Performance Studio
- Click to open the program
- Pin the correct version
- Once TPS opens successfully (latest version), right-click the icon on the taskbar
- Select "Pin to taskbar"
- TPS will now launch the updated version correctly from the taskbar shortcut.
