Changing the screen orientation in Windows can be helpful when your display appears rotated incorrectly or when using devices such as tablets or 2-in-1 laptops that support multiple viewing modes.
Change Screen Orientation from Settings
Follow these steps to adjust your screen orientation through Windows Settings:
- Open Settings
- Press Windows Key + I
- Access Display Settings
- Click "System"
- Select "Display"
- Change Screen Orientation
- Scroll down to find "Display orientation"
- Select one of the following options:
- Landscape (default)
- Portrait
- Landscape (flipped)
- Portrait (flipped)
- Confirm the Change
- Click "Keep changes" to apply the selected orientation
Important Notes
- Screen rotation is more common on touchscreen devices or laptops with rotating displays.
- On most desktop computers, this feature may be limited or disabled.
