Factory reset of a TM4 should only be done as a last resort, if all else fails
Please remember to check if the Auto Power On/Off Setting is enabled before factory resetting a TM4.
A lot of places in Europe have the One Button solution and factory reset will turn this setting off, meaning we get calls about units not tracking due to uptime.
In case you need to do a factory reset, please see the different methods below:
-
Method 1: Web Interface via Wi-Fi
- Connect the device (iOS or PC) to the TM Wi-Fi
- Open any internet browser
- Go to http://172.30.20.1
- Click "Login"
- Go to "Administration"
- Reset to "Factory Defaults"
- TM4 will restart (You may see disconnection errors on the web interface page, this is normal)
- Wait for the green light next to the camera to turn solid green
- Connect the device back to the TM Wi-Fi
- Now the TM has been reset to factory defaults
-
