TM4 | Resetting Wi-Fi Password

The default password for the Trackman 4 Wi-Fi is: password. If this password is not working, the password has most likely been changed at some point. But if you cannot remember this password we can complete a factory reset which will correct the issue.

Below are four different Factory Reset options.

  1. Method 1: Web Interface via Wi-Fi

    1. Connect the device (iOS or PC) to the TM Wi-Fi
    2. Open any internet browser
    3. Go to http://172.30.20.1
    4. Click Login (no password needed)
    5. Click Force if prompted
    6. Go to Administration
    7. Reset to Factory Defaults
    8. Radar will restart (You may see disconnection errors on the web interface page, this is normal)
    9. Wait for the green light next to the camera to turn solid green
    10. Connect the device back to the TM Wi-Fi
    11. Now the TM has been reset to factory defaults
  1. Method 2: Web Interface via Ethernet

    1. Be sure radar is connected to PC via Ethernet
    2. Open File Explorer on the computer
    3. Click "Network" on the left-hand side of the File Explorer window
    4. If there is a yellow bar at the top that says Network Discovery is turned off, click on the bar, and turn on Network Discovery
    5. Once Network Discovery is turned on, you should see the radar followed by its serial number
    6. Right click the radar device
    7. Click "Properties"
    8. Here you should see a web link that you can click on, this will take you to the web interface.
    9. Click Login
    10. Go to Administration
    11. Reset to Factory Defaults
    12. Radar will restart (You may see disconnection errors on the web interface page, this is normal)
    13. Wait for the green light next to the camera to turn solid green
    14. Connect the device back to the TM Wi-Fi
    15. Now the TM has been reset to factory defaults
  1. Method 3: Web Interface via USB Troubleshooting Cable

    1. Connect the radar to any device with a USB port
    2. Open any internet browser
    3. Go to http://172.30.30.1
    4. Click Login
    5. Go to Administration
    6. Reset to Factory Defaults
    7. Radar will restart (You may see disconnection errors on the web interface page, this is normal)
    8. Wait for the green light next to the camera to turn solid green
    9. Connect the device back to the TM Wi-Fi
    10. Now the TM has been reset to factory defaults
  1. Method 4: Manually via Paper Clip

    1. Open the rubber flap on the bottom of the radar and you will see a tiny pinhole above the screw
    2. Make sure the radar is powered on
    3. Take a paper clip and hold down for 10 seconds inside the pin hole (it is okay to push with a bit of force to be sure the paper clip is pressing the button)
    4. The radar lights will turn off
    5. Wait 30 seconds
    6. Close the back stand/leg
    7. Wait 30 seconds
    8. Power the radar back on by opening the back stand/leg
