If you're running low on space on your C: drive, you can use this simple workaround to save your TPS-recorded videos to another drive instead. This guide walks you through how to redirect your video storage, which can help free up space on your main drive while keeping your recordings safe and accessible.

How to Save TPS Videos to a Different Drive

  1. Download the attached TPS Videos config file
  2. Save the TPS.CONFIG in ‘C:\ProgramData\TrackMan\TrackMan Performance Studio’
  3. Change the ‘Value’ to the new video folder on the PC that you’ve created
  4. Open the file in notepad

  5. In the file it’s preset to ‘D:\tpsvideos’ but can be changed to any folder, but the folder must exist
  6. When you insert the new path, then safe the settings (Ctrl + S). It will now look like this in the new folder:

  7. Then you can copy the content from inside the videos folder at C:\ProgramData\TrackMan\TrackMan Performance Studio\Videos and copy them into the new folder you have created in the external drive
  8. Open TPS and it should be able to find the old videos from the original folder as well as from the new folder

If testing to see if it works, you must save the tested shot in order for the video to save to the new location
