Please see below for the the best tips for practices and settings when you use the camera app on iOS for 3D Motion Analysis.
Best Practices for Settings for 3DMA
- Fast shutter – reduces blur, and improves club tracking
- FPS: 240 – can do 120, but 240 improves tracking
- Camera: Default
- The wide camera is limited to 60fps, which will result in reduced pickup by 3D Motion Analysis. Should only be used when space constraints requires it.
- General Comments:
- 3DMA prefers an image that is brighter and grainier over an image that is too dark
- Less light that is evenly distributed is better than bright light only on part(s) of player
- Keep the player in the bottom of the image to make sure full swing motion of the club is captured in the video.
