Private settings is for private customers (if Private settings are enabled, anyone can edit). Whereas Public settings should be for facilities, who dont want playing customers to be able to make setting changes.
If you run a Trackman Simulator centre, have a simulator at your club, or simply want more control over what data is visible in TPS, you can enable Public Mode in Trackman Performance Studio (TPS). Public Mode lets you set default simulator settings and hide user data from others.
Before you begin, make sure you have a facility created through your sales rep or Trackman Support. If you haven’t, please contact Trackman Support by submitting a support ticket here.
Data Compliance Settings in TPS
- Open TPS and log in with the same account you use for portal.trackmangolf.com.
- Ensure your facility is selected in the bottom-right corner.
- Set the application defaults you want (e.g., green speed, Stableford, tracer settings). These will apply to all users.
- Log in with the admin account in the bottom-left corner.
- Go to Settings › Application.
- Under Installation Type, select Fixed, and under Data Compliance, choose Public.
- If “Public” doesn’t appear, save the settings, exit, and reopen Settings.
- Restart TPS when prompted. Public Mode is now active.
To change these settings later or to switch off Public Mode, simply log in again with the admin account.
Private Mode is for situations where user data doesn’t need to be hidden — for example, at home. It can be enabled the same way as Public Mode.
You can also choose Private, Hidden Emails, which hides users’ email addresses while still allowing them to adjust TPS settings.
