Aspect ratio refers to the proportional relationship between the width and height of a projected image or screen. It plays a critical role in golf simulator setups, impacting the size and shape of the display area, influencing both immersion and practicality.

4:3 Aspect Ratio
- Description: A more square format than the standard 16:9 aspect ratio.
- Suitability: Widely used in simulators with limited horizontal space. This aspect ratio might have some challenges with display monitor aspect ratio.
16:9 Aspect Ratio
- Description: The standard widescreen format.
- Suitability: Most recommended aspect ratio for golf simulators as most display monitors support this format.
16:10 Aspect Ratio
- Description: Slightly taller than the standard 16:9.
- Suitability: A good alternative to fit better in some spaces but may also have some challenges with the display monitor.
Resolution and Aspect Ratio
- 10’ x 8’ (4x3) = 1600 x 1200
- 11’ x 8’-3” (4x3) = 1600 x 1200
- 12’ x 9’ (4x3) = 1600 x 1200
- 13’ x9’ (4x3) = 1600 x 1200
- 13’ x 8’-2” (16x10) = 1920 x 1200
- 14’ x 8’-9” (16x10) = 1920 x 1200
- 15’ x 9’ (16x10) = 1920 x 1200
- 16’ x 9’ (16x9) = 1920 x 1080
