Error Messages | No Final Measurement

The "No Final Measurement" error typically appears when TPS is unable to complete the data capture process for a shot. This means that while the shot may have been initiated, the system failed to record the final data point, often due to issues with the frequencies.

Frequency-Related Issues in TM4

The TM4 unit uses Doppler radar technology to track the ball and club movement. This radar operates at specific frequencies, and any disruption in the frequency signal can lead to incomplete data capture.

Common frequency-related causes include:

  • Signal Interference:
    • Nearby electronic devices or reflective surfaces can interfere with the radar frequency, causing data loss.
  • Radar Wave Reflection:
    • The radar waves emitted by the TM4 bounce off objects and return to the unit.
    • If these reflections are distorted or scattered—especially by unintended surfaces—they can interfere with the radar’s ability to accurately interpret the signal.
    • This interference is a key contributor to the "No Final Measurement" error.
  • TM4 Orientation and Environment:
    • The TM4 faces outward toward the hitting area.
    • If there are large reflective surfaces—such as metal objects, fences, or equipment—in front of it, the radar waves can bounce back in unpredictable ways, creating interference and disrupting the final measurement.
