TM4 | Disconnections on TM4

Make sure to not connect the Trackman through a USB adapter, as this has a high risk of causing disconnections. The recommended setup is to connect the Trackman directly to the PC with an ethernet cable.

Trackman 4 Disconnecting – Ethernet Setup (Recommmended)

  1. Unplug and replug both ends of the Ethernet cable.
    • Ensure the cable "clicks" in when plugged into the unit and the PC. No click might signify faulty port
  2. On your PC, go to "Control Panel" > "Network and Internet" > "Network and Sharing Center".

    • Make sure network discovery and file sharing are turned on.
  3. Restart both the PC and the TM4.
    • Wait 10 seconds, then power them back on and reconnect.

Trackman 4 Disconnecting – Wi-Fi Setup

  1. If you’re using a USB Wi-Fi adapter, unplug and plug it back in.
    • Make sure it’s firmly connected and not loose.
  2. On your PC, go to "Settings" > "Network & Internet" > "Wi-Fi" > "Manage Known Networks".
    • Remove any networks you’re not using to avoid auto-switching.
    • Connect to Wi-Fi.
    • Use the Wifi-Analyzer to determine which channel will be best for the Trackman 4 to be connected on.
  3. Restart both the PC and the TM4.
    • Wait 10 seconds, then power them back on and reconnect to Wi-Fi.
