Make sure to not connect the Trackman through a USB adapter, as this has a high risk of causing disconnections. The recommended setup is to connect the Trackman directly to the PC with an ethernet cable.
Trackman 4 Disconnecting – Ethernet Setup (Recommmended)
- Unplug and replug both ends of the Ethernet cable.
- Ensure the cable "clicks" in when plugged into the unit and the PC. No click might signify faulty port
- On your PC, go to "Control Panel" > "Network and Internet" > "Network and Sharing Center".
- Make sure network discovery and file sharing are turned on.
- Restart both the PC and the TM4.
- Wait 10 seconds, then power them back on and reconnect.
Trackman 4 Disconnecting – Wi-Fi Setup
- If you’re using a USB Wi-Fi adapter, unplug and plug it back in.
- Make sure it’s firmly connected and not loose.
- On your PC, go to "Settings" > "Network & Internet" > "Wi-Fi" > "Manage Known Networks".
- Remove any networks you’re not using to avoid auto-switching.
- Connect to Wi-Fi.
- Use the Wifi-Analyzer to determine which channel will be best for the Trackman 4 to be connected on.
- Restart both the PC and the TM4.
- Wait 10 seconds, then power them back on and reconnect to Wi-Fi.
