Internet access is only needed for the following actions:
- Launching TPS
- An internet connection is needed to initialize the firmware and verify the license each time TPS is launched.
- Please note, this differs between products: TMiO requires license verification at every launch, whereas Trackman 4 only needs to verify the license every 2-4 weeks and can otherwise run offline.
- Online play
- Online play and tournament functionality rely on an active internet connection.
- Uploads
- Internet is required to upload session data to the cloud so customers can access their data in the Trackman app.
- Signing in users
- Internet connection is needed when customers sign in to save their data and to play under their own profile (instead of as a guest).
- Downloads
- Internet access is required to download software updates, modules, and new TPS versions.
For the most optimal customer experience, we recommend a minimum internet speed at 50/50 Mbit/s.
If you encounter lag, freezing, or performance issues while using TPS, the root cause is therefore not your internet connection.
