General | Ranges / Sims

The Ranges / Sims section can be found in the list of settings under Booking & Payments.
Here, you can configure the general settings that apply to all of your bays. This section contains the fundamental settings for your venue.

Multiple Tabs

If your venue offers multiple options (ranges), such as simulator bays, driving range bays, or dart lanes, you will see multiple tabs at the top of the page.
Each range can be configured independently, allowing you to apply different settings to each one.

General Settings

Name

This is the name customers will see for the range or simulator on your booking page.

Booking URL

Next to the name, you'll find the Booking URL. Clicking this link will take you directly to the booking page for that range, making it easy to preview the customer booking experience.

Max Players

This setting defines the maximum number of players allowed per booking for the range.

Keep in mind that this is different from the Max Players setting configured for individual bay options. Those settings can override this value for specific bays, while this setting serves as the default for the entire range.

Max Concurrent Bookings

This setting controls the maximum number of active bookings a customer can have at the same time.

Please note that if you have booking restrictions configured, those restrictions can specify a different limit and will take priority during the periods in which they apply.

Customer Cancellations & Refunds

If you don't want to configure cancellation and refund settings for each individual bay option, you can set the default rules for the entire range here.

Limit Customer Cancellations

Enable this setting to prevent customers from cancelling their bookings within a specified period before the booking start time. If they attempt to cancel during this period, they will need to contact your venue directly.

We generally recommend leaving this setting disabled.

Limit Customer Self-Refunds

Enable this setting to define a period before the booking start time during which customers who cancel will not receive a self-refund.

Please note that all self-refunds are issued as customer credit and are not refunded to the original payment method.

Bookable

If you're a new venue or simply don't want customers to book yet, you can set Bookable to No.

When disabled, customers won't be able to make bookings, even if they find your booking page.

Max Book Ahead Period

This controls how far into the future customers can make bookings.

This is always the highest-level setting. If you want certain customer groups (for example, members) to be able to book further ahead than walk-in customers, you'll need to set this value to the longest booking period required, then use Restrictions to limit the booking window for other customer groups.

Booking Cut-Off

This setting allows venues to define the minimum booking lead time.

You can configure it from 60 minutes before the booking start time up to 60 minutes after the booking start time.

This means customers can still make a booking shortly before the session starts—or even after the scheduled start time—depending on the value you've configured.

Customer Booking Experience

Here you can choose which booking interface your venue uses.

  • Classic – Typically used by driving ranges or venues with multiple bays. It can be used if you would like to offer customers fixed-duration booking options.
  • Calendar – Most commonly used for simulator venues with around 4–5 bays.

If you select Calendar View, you'll have additional options available to customize the customer experience.

Banner

If you'd like to replace the default banner with a custom image, you can upload it here.

Please note that banner images should be in PNG format with a 12:9 aspect ratio for the best display.

Additional Information

Use this field to provide any additional information about the range that you would like customers to see on the booking page.

Opening Hours

In the Opening Hours section, you can configure your regular opening hours as well as Date Overrides.

To set your regular opening hours, click the + button on the right and add the opening hours for each day of the week.

If your venue will be closed on specific dates, such as public holidays, or will have different opening hours on certain days, you can use Date Overrides to make those changes.

For more information about configuring opening hours and date overrides, please refer to this article: General | Opening Hours In Booking & Payments 🎦.
