If a facility has multiple bays, you can choose between the following setups:
- One main Wi-Fi connection
- Individual routers per bay
- Optimal Wired Setup
- USB Ethernet Adapter (which this article covers)
USB Ethernet Adapter
This method ensures stable radar-to-PC communication and reliable internet access, without relying on Wi-Fi.
- Use the built-in Ethernet port to connect the PC directly to the Trackman unit.
- Use a USB Ethernet dongle to connect the PC to the main router.
- Ensure the dongle supports 1 Gbit/s speeds and is compatible with your system.
Each bay connects a PC and radar unit to a central router via wired and wireless connections for stable performance.
For best practice, always prioritize the built-in Ethernet port for the radar connection. Use the dongle for internet access to ensure optimal performance.
